My nephew is currently training at Army Boot Camp. His experience has been a little rougher than most because his group got Covid early on and had to be quarantined for several weeks. Most of the trainees were feeling pretty low and were in need of some happy mail.
I heeded the call and knew it was time to go to my craft room- the Creative Treehouse and put a relief package together! I used a stamp from the Artistically Inked stamp set to create the camouflage look. The card base is Old Olive with Soft Seafoam as the shirt underneath.
Dies from the Suit and Ties set were used to create pieces of the uniform. I designed my own collar instead of using the formal collar in the set.
The collar is popped up on black dimensionals while the individual pieces were edged with Evening Evergreen to make them stand out from the background.
I had SO much fun making this card and I really hope it will bring a smile to my nephew’s face. Happy mail can really lift your spirit. Hoping you’ll be inspired to send some happy mail today.
