There are so many wonderful products in the new Mini Catalog! There are tons of great Christmas stamp sets, dies, punches, embossing folders, and DSP. But my favorite season is fall and I don’t want to jump past my favorite season, just yet. So, set aside your gingerbread cookies for just a minute and lets talk “fall”.
I’m a sucker for leaves and other fall themed stamp sets and I’m willing to bet I’m not alone in my love for cool crisp autumn days, rustling leaves, and those incredible deep blue skies. Watching the leaves change color and seeing the stunning variety of reds, oranges, and yellows makes my heart happy. I’m blessed to live in an area where we can enjoy the beautiful display of fall.
I’ve been playing with the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and dies from the mini catalog. As always, the sky is the limit on all the beautiful projects you can create with these gorgeous leaves. I thought I would make 2 very different cards to show just how versatile this set is. One card uses more traditional autumn colors and one uses soft greens. They would both make great birthday cards for someone with a September or October birthday. Also, since it is often difficult to come up with masculine cards, these would be good options to keep on hand for when you need a guy card.
Since I love leaves, you can sent me a leaf card anytime of year for any reason. 🙂
This card is a perfect fall card. The Beauty of the Earth DSP makes a gorgeous border and is the inspiration for the colors in the card. You’ll find Bumble Bee, Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss all used in this card. These rich colors make for a yummy card.

And for a softer look that doesn’t necessarily scream fall, this is a delightful card. The colors used are Soft Succulent, Pear Pizazz, and Soft Seafoam. The leaves are stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″. The Soft Succulent border around the Very Vanilla is only 1/8 larger. The Soft Seafoam piece is cut 1/8″ smaller than the Soft Succulent base and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

As always, you can purchase any of the products that I used to create the cards from my online store. Thanks so much for stopping by the Treehouse today. Here’s wishing you a happy fall!
