Bookbinding Card

In preparing for my recent Open House, I made several cards using products from the new Mini Catalog (January – June 2022). This one turned out to be my favorite! I love the stunning classy look of it. The flowers and the sentiment both came from the Flowing Flowers stamp set. The flowers were stamped in White Craft Ink and the sentiment was stamped in Memento ink.

The fabulous scripty paper on the binding is the new Vellum Layering Designs paper. It is spectacular. For this card I layered it over a piece of Sahara sand before putting it on the strip of Basic Black cardstock. I used Black Baker’s Twine and Matte Dots for the added touches.

The inside was simple – just a piece of Sahara Sand 4 x 4 with a smaller piece of Basic Black offset behind it. I did not take a separate picture of it but I do show it in my video tutorial.

Basic Black Cardstock:  4 ¼ x 11 (scored at 5 ½ and 4 ¼),  4 x 4,  4 x 1 1/8

Basic Gray Cardstock:  3 ¾ x 3 ¾

Sahara Sand:  1 x 3 7/8  (along with a scrap for the sentiment)

Vellum:  1 x 3 7/8
