Combining the cute Ladybug Bundle with the Give it a Whirl dies and the Medium Daisy Punch lends itself to this amazing card with movement. I am almost giddy with delight when I see the ladybug take flight. I hope it gives you the same amount of happiness as it does me. There are lots of important tips and tricks to make her flying debut possible so you will need to watch the video tutorial to catch them all.
For the card in the photograph I made my own Horizon DSP with Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow inks. The stem and the blades of grass came from the Wildflower Path stamp set. I added some dimension by using stamps from the Oceanfront stamp set. The Hello Ladybug stamp set was used for the sentiment and the dots for the wings. I used Real Red and Basic Black cardstock to cut out the ladybug from the Ladybug Punch.
Two dies from the Give it a Whirl Die set were used on the card. For the “wheel” die I used thick Basic White cardstock. The magnets that I used were Rare Earth magnets that were purchase from Harbor Freight. They were just large enough and strong enough to enable the ladybug to take flight.
There are really too many little bits and pieces to write about in this blog, so I encourage you to watch the video tutorial. While you are there, please consider subscribing to my YouTube Channel. 😉 I will list below all of the products that I used to create this video (with the exception of the brad and the magnets).
I hope you enjoy watching the ladybug fly and that you’ll have a chance to make one of these fun interactive cards for yourself. Let me know how your ladybug’s first flight goes.
