I had a sweet friend who just turned 50. Her favorite color is purple and she loves the mountains. With those things in mind, I set off to create a special card for her special milestone birthday.
I used a whole stack of various retired stamp sets to create the landscape for this card. (Waterfront, My Meadow, and Snow Front for starters). Masks (from sticky notes) are used to cover certain sections of the card while stamping.
If you are interested in seeing how I made the card you can check out the video tutorial. I also have other videos that are very similar in style. You are welcome to check those out as well. Here is just one of several cards I have created using this technique.
I will admit upfront that this technique is a bit more time consuming but I don’t mind at all. I’m one of those people who loves to color and finds it therapeutic. Creating landscapes with stamps is like coloring to me. If you like to color, you might want to give this style a try.
Should you chose to give this technique a try, I would love to hear about it. Please leave a comment and either tell me your thoughts on this card or let me know how your own stamping landscape turned out.
