Ranunculus Romance Vintage Card

The Ranunculus stamp set from Stampin’ Up! makes it easy to create a card with a vintage feel.

I have had the Ranunculus Romance stamp set sitting on my shelf for a couple of months. Unfortunately, it kept being superseded by fellow stamps. But today, I finally pulled it down and began creating. All the components reminded me of a set of memorabilia so I decided to make a card with a vintage memorabilia feel. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

The use of blending brushes, sponge daubers and some gentle tearing helped create the neat aged look. And an “aged” looking card would really need the Timeworn 3D embossing folder, don’t you think? When all of these elements come together the result is a stunning vintage card.

There is a YouTube tutorial so you can watch the process. Although the card may look complicated and time consuming, the only time consuming part is just taking the time to “age” each piece. Honestly, I find it kind of therapeutic (but not quite as much as coloring). So, I didn’t mind a little extra time when it results in such a stunning look.
