The Speedy Recovery Stamp Set
The Speedy Recovery stamp set is perfect for making get well cards. In the winter months it certainly seems there is a bigger need for get well cards. This stamp set is a great one to keep in your stash.
We recently made Get Well and Sympathy cards at our November card workshop. I was surprised to find out that most if not all of the participants had no idea that this stamp set was in the current Annual Catalog. Later we had a team meeting and got the same reaction.
So, I decided to highlight this set along with a fun way to use it. Hopefully you have discovered this great stamp set and already have it in your stash. If not, it will be available at least through April 2023.
Two great In-Colors were used to create this card – Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis. They are both lovely shades of blue with a hint of purple in them. These wonderful colors will be around until April 2024.
How to make the 3D Tissue Box
My favorite part of this get well card is the 3D tissue box. It was created by cutting a slit in the top of the tissue box with an craft knife. As a helpful tip, be sure to put a piece of cardboard or something under the cardstock when cutting so you don’t accidently cut your worksurface. (You can ask me about accidently cutting my linoleum floor in my kitchen while working on a craft project. Oops!)
The piece of “tissue” is actually a tiny piece of tissue paper that you gently fold into thirds before slipping it into the slot you created in the tissue box. The tissue box is popped up on dimensional which also helps keep the tissue in place. If think your recipient will need a 2 ply tissue, you can always add two tissue pieces – ha ha.
Starry Sky is the ink that I used to stamp the flowers as a background on the Orchid Oasis piece. It was also used for the sentiment and the tissue box. I found that the color of the tissue box looked better stamped on Basic White than Very Vanilla. However, I did use Very Vanilla for the sentiment circle and one of the mats.
I’ve made a YouTube tutorial for this Get Well card with 3D tissue box just in case someone would prefer a visual explanation. You can find that video here. Below, you will find the products that I used along with the dimensions for this Get Well card.

Thanks for stopping by the Creative Treehouse today. I hope I have inspired you to create something wonderful.
