I have a friend who is going through cancer treatments. When I saw her at a store last week, she seemed down and was moving slowly. This was not like her normally peppy self. I knew right away that I should send her a Thinking of You card.
My friend loves the beach and gets lots of inspiration from her times at the beach. So, I knew that I had to use the Season of Chic set to make her card. I absolutely love the coordinating DSP with the metallic touches. I added some metallic touches to my card where I thought it needed more.
Bookbinding cards are a great fun fold technique which I think worked well for this card. I have other bookbinding cards that I have made and you can see one example here. It is probably my all time favorite bookbinding card. If you haven’t given bookbinding cards a try, I highly recommend them.

In addition to the inside sentiment, I also wrote her a long note. I used a piece of computer paper but ‘fancied” it up a bit with stamps similar to what I did to the piece of cardstock on the inside of the card. Giving joy to others through cards is my passion. I’m hoping this card brought a little joy to my friend when she opened it up.
Hope you can send some paper joy to someone who needs encouragement. If that someone is you, just pretend I sent you this card. 🙂
