I just love this triple diamond fun fold card! It contains some unexpected surprises for the recipient. And who doesn’t love a card the uses beautiful blues?
The idea for this card came from Jay Soriano, a fellow Demonstrator in the UK. He used different DSP and stamps but no matter how you slice it, this triple fun fold card design is a winner.
As soon as I saw Jay’s video, I set about making one for myself. For my card, my recipients favorite color is blue. So, I selected Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue for my card. You can’t go wrong in using any of the papers from the Countryside Inn DSP.

To keep this card closed, I added a tiny pair of magnets to my card. I like using magnets to help keep fun fold cards closed. The magnets aren’t very expensive and can be purchased through an online store called Total Elements Magnets. Surprisingly, as you can see from the photo above, the triple diamond fun fold card folds up into a very compact square. Isn’t it fun that the recipient has no idea of what is in store for them when they open up the card? From the outside, you would never guess that this card could be a triple diamond card. Where are the diamonds hiding?

You can see the three diamonds, when the card is opened up. I stamped the two outer diamonds using the Two-Tone floral stamp set. I thought that the flowers in the stamp set fit well with the flowers in the DSP.
the secret door

Finally, when the triple diamond funfold card is opened, you eye is drawn to the 3 diamonds. As can be seen in the photo above, the diamonds are not glued flat onto the card base. I attached the center diamond is attached to a mechanism that acts like a spring. While, the two outer diamonds are actually hidden “doors” that you can open up.
The Secret Message

How cool is that? Under both the doors a secret message is hiding. This is a card that just keeps on giving.
I have a feeling, you’ll probably want to make one of these triple fun fold cards now that you have seen how cool it is. I will post the measurements below along with a list of products. If you need any of the products, you can click on their image and it will direct you to my online store. And, if you would like to watch a video tutorial, you can access my YouTube tutorial here. Similarly, I have other blog posts that feature fun fold cards. I’ll add one here for you.
At this time, I’m still pretty excited about this triple diamond card even as I write this. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to try one for yourself. If you do, please let me know how it went and which papers you chose to use. In addition, I would love it if you would leave a comment here as well as on my video.
