Fun Fold Celebrate

I love fun fold cards and they are a perfect way to celebrate almost any festive occasion. To celebrate my team’s Stampin’ Up! anniversaries, I always try to create a fun card. Here is the card that I created for a team member celebrating her 2nd anniversary with Stampin’ Up!

I made several of these cards in different colors depending on the team member’s favorite colors. For this card I used Bubble Bath, Berry Burst and Unbounded Beauty DSP. Layering up the various colors give the card a festive look.

In addition to the colors, I used various stamps and dies many of which are retired. Being a SU demonstrator for 8 years, I have acquired many useful stamps and dies that I keep in my stash. The large number is from the retired Large Numbers die set. The Large Numbers along with the Large Letter dies are ones that I will keep in my stash forever as I used them often. The medium-sized letters are from the retired die set called Playful Alphabet. Typically, you’ll note that I keep all my alphabet stamp sets and dies because you never know when you need that particular size or font for a project.

Current products that can be found used in this card include the “so happy to celebrate you” sentiment is from a returning stamp set, Layering Leaves. I used several of the square dies from the Stylish Shapes dies on this card. And on the front of the card I used 2 circles from that same set.

Another current product that I used was the Thoughtful Moments hybrid dies. These dies come with an embossing folder and are so cool to use! This was my first time to use the dies and I love them. To create the ombre-look, I colored the word “celebrate” with Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t already own the Thoughtful Moments hybrid set, you should definitely check it out!

The Fun Fold

Honestly, I do not remember the name of the fun fold that I used to make this card. I was telling my husband that when cardmaking, I feel like I’m Lucille Ball with Desi in the chocolate factory. Everything keeps moving along the conveyor belt at quite a clip. Once a chocolate/card has gone past, it is too late to do much about it. (OK, now I’m craving chocolate).
