Today I completed my first Sketch Challenge for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. I’ve participated in color challenges before but this is my first Sketch Challenge. Probably because it was first time with a sketch, I took it at face value. Below, you will find the Sketch that we were presented.

I chose a blue theme. Using Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, White, and a piece of the lovely Country Lace Designer Series paper, I set out to create a card that matched the sketch. Since, I love to color, I chose the flower stamp from Spotlight on Nature and used blends to color the image.
The floral image was stamped in Momento then colored with Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue, Balmy Blue and Pool Party. I used the 3/4 inch square die from the Stylish Shapes die set to cut out one piece of Basic White and one piece of Night of Navy. To balance out the right side of the card, I embossed the piece of Misty Moonlight with the Eyelet embossing folder.
The sentiment came from the amazing Unbounded Love stamp set. In order to incorporate little splashes of white, I heat embossed the sentiment in white. After that, I put a small strip of white under the sentiment strip.
Last item for the front of the card is the three small embellishments. I used the Misty Moonlight gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack. Now on to the inside.
Inside

Because the card sketch only addresses the front of the card, I assume it is a free for all on the inside. My usual bag of tricks for the inside of cards is either a strip of DSP or a small stamped image. For this card I decided to go wild and do both.
So, what do you think? Did I meet the Sketch Challenge? I hope so and I hope I have inspired you to create something today. Be sure to check out the other blogger’s projects. Each participant in the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop is amazing. Enjoy hopping through the list.
