Flying Fun Fold Card

The flying fun fold card is actually called the Flying Seagull fun fold. This particular fun fold was designed by Susan Campfield. I love the design and so appreciate her sharing her creativity with everyone. After discovering this fun fold, I immediately started creating a card using it.

The Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper was a perfect match for the fun fold. Not only does it have great colors and patterns but it also has sheets of punch outs. The large image on the front of the card is actually just one of the cut outs from the paper pack. All the colors for the card came from the DSP.

Although the fun fold looks complicated, it is actually easy to make. Then just by adding mats behind each of the pieces of DSP, the card has been elevated to an even higher lever. Making simple cards is just not in my wheel house for some reason. If you know me, you know I find it hard for me to leave well enough alone. 😉

Here is what the card looks like when it is all folded up ready to fit into an envelope. You might be surprised to learn that the flying fun fold card actually fits into a normal sized envelope. As with any handmade card, extra postage might be required. Often times, I use the Non-Machinable postage stamps for the cards that I send.
