Welcome to the June edition of the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be hoping along or you may have landed here at the Creative Treehouse page first. Regardless, I’m glad you are here! Be sure to hop along through all the blogs to find wonderful inspiration.
This month we had a Sketch Challenge – Sketch 109. I debated as to whether to create a landscape card or a portrait card. In the end, I decided to go with a portrait card but have it open from bottom to top instead of the traditional side hinge. Below you will find the sketch challenge.

My first thought when designing a card for one of the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hops is what stamp set, Designer Series Paper, or dies do I want to feature. Since I’ve been having fun on my LIVEs using the Florals Abloom DSP, I decided to start with that paper.
Florals Abloom Card

I love the pinks, blues and greens in this particular piece of DSP. There were several colors that coordinate with the paper that could be used as a border. But, I went with one of my favorite combinations: Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock.
For the flowers, I used Fresh Freesia/Petunia Pop, Misty Moonlight/Night of Navy and Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. The flower stems were stamped in Granny Apple Green. However, there are lost of different greens in the DSP. So, you could chose almost any green to be the stems.
