Christmas Fun Fold

Over the past 3 months I’ve made more than a dozen Christmas cards, but none of them were fun folds. I decided to change that with this stunning Christmas fun fold. The fun fold is a variation of the Z card. However, this particular design is one that I had never made.

The beautiful Elegant Pine Snowflake Designer Series Paper is the highlight of this Christmas card. Several of the images on the DSP can be cut out with the coordinating dies. Speaking of dies, there are so many dies in this bundle – twenty two, I believe. As a result, this suite of products has become my favorite from the online Christmas suites.

Fun Fold in action

Isn’t this fun fold interesting? It isn’t difficult to make. With only three score lines, the only tricky part is remembering which way to fold the paper and where to place or not place the glue.

After the LIVE was over, I put together more fun fold cards using the color combinations that the viewers did not choose. Not surprisingly, I got a little carried away and experimented. With the dark color of the Secret Sea panels, I thought that the contrasting white on the snowflakes was too stark a contrast. As a result, I started using a blending brush to add color to the snowflakes in sections. You can see in the photo above some of the blending that I did to soften the white snowflakes.
