Wooly Friends Valentine Card

When I saw the Wooly Friends bundle in the new Mini Catalog, I thought it would make a cute Valentine Card. I usually don’t gravitate to the cute stamp sets, but this one made me smile. Subsequently, you’ll find cute cards are perfect for lots of occasions not just Valentine’s Day.

The fun fold that I used is one of my favorite simple fun folds. One of the neat features of this design is how the flap is cut off of the base then turned horizontally. No wasted cardstock.

Earlier I created a Valentine card using this fun fold in similar colors. You can view that card here. One of the cool things about this fun fold is that you can change up the papers (and/or colors) and get a completely different look.

Hidden message

Another of my favorite things about this fun fold is the fact that the inside message is hidden from view when the card is closed. As long as your inside measurement is slightly smaller than the front flap, your message will be hidden perfectly.

The inside

Carrying the cuteness from the front of the card to the inside is easy with grass and flower stamps. For my color scheme, I chose Petunia Pop, Gorgeous Grape, and Shy Shamrock. Those colors were found in the DSP. I used the Florals in Bloom 12 x 12 DSP and the 2024 – 2026 6 x 6 DSP (I actually used the pack that was purchased in 2024).

Petunia Pop Cardstock: 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2 (cut off 2-3/4 and save for flap)
Gorgeous Grape: 2-1/2 x 4 (cut 2)
DSP: 2-3/8 x 3-7/8 (cut one of one pattern and one of another pattern)
Basic White for sheep, sentiment, ground with flowers and bow
