The Gears and Textures bundle is a delight to play with! We created this card together on my Thursday night LIVE. On the LIVE the viewers leave comments that shape how the card is created. We would love to have you join us for the next card.
If you would like to watch how this card comes together, I created a fun stop action short (lasts 18 seconds).
There is a long version of the Gears and Textures card if you are interested. You can find the replay of the LIVE on my YouTube channel. Or just click this link that will send you right to the replay.
Tips and Tricks
Are you a fan of the vintage-look? I am. To achieve the vintage feel I randomly stamped the background with several of the stamps from the stamp set. After stamping, I took a Blending Brush and added Crumb Cake ink to the card focusing on the edges in particular.
Another trick that I used was that I actually stamped the die cut images. Without the stamping, the images looked plain and stark in contrast to the textured background. By stamping the gears I was able to achieve a more timeworn look. In my book, the little details like this can make a wonderful difference in your projects.
