The cute lip balm holders make great gifts. I used the Bee Mine DSP to decorate these holders. Because the DSP is geared towards Valentine’s, these would make wonderful Galentines.
The original idea came from the Paper Pixie. Her lip balm holder was made entirely out of DSP. I changed mine up by incorporating cardstock, a purse handle, and different measurements. The measurements will be listed below in addition to a list of products that I used. If you like video tutorials, you can watch mine here.
From the sideview, you can see the lip balm inside the holder. There is a small piece of cardstock that acts as a strap to hold the lip balm in place. I added an additional score line to allow the purse to stand up straight.
The flower on the front of the Daffodil Delight holder is punched from the Petal Park Builder punch. For the second holder, I used the hearts from the Bee Builder punch. Punches offer a quick alternative to die cutting and are the perfect addition to these lip balm holders.
The inside
On the inside of the purse, I added a sentiment from the Bee My Valentine stamp set. The sentiment was stamped using Memento ink. These cute Valentine products are in the current Mini Catalog. Measurements for Lip Balm holder
- Cardstock base: 3 x 6-1/2 scored at 1-3/8, 1-3/4, 3-3/4, 4-5/16, and 4-1/2 Then turn the cardstock with the short side on top and score at 1-1/8 just between the two largest horizontal score lines. (see video for more explanation)
- DSP: 1-1/2 x 2-7/8 and 1-7/8 x 2 7/8 (cut 2)
- Inside: mat- 1-3/4 x 2-3/4, white- 1-5/8 x 2-5/8
- Strap: 7 1/2 x 1/4 scored at 1-1/2
