The Nature’s Sweetness Suite is so much fun to play with! I fell in love with it at first sight. I’ve made several cards with the products and you can find some of those here. For this car, I decided to add Night of Navy to the mix. I’m a fan of blues and tans. In remodeling my studio, I went with blues and tans. The studio is turning out great and I think the card turned out great as well.
There are two renditions of this card. On the first card, I used Night of Navy for the card base. On the second card, I used Crumb Cake as the card based but Night of Navy is still prominent. In the video tutorial you can watch me put the second card together. To view that video tutorial, click here.
This or That?

One of the things that really makes this Nature’s Sweetness card stand out is the 3D fern background. I inked up the embossing folder with Night of Navy ink to achieve this look. A second feature that really helps the card pop is the distressing that was used on both of the rectangular pieces. The white pieces was distressed with Night of Navy ink while the Crumb Cake piece was distressed with Pecan Pie ink.
Interestingly, the ink colors of the vanilla plant in the first card are probably more realistic, I think I like the vanilla plant stamped in Night of Navy. The colored baker’s twine in the second card is a score in my book. However, to be fair, there are bits and pieces of each card that I like.
This Nature’s Sweetness card could be for any occasion. The tiny sentiment on the tab came from the Warm Welcome stamp set (which I forgot to add to the product list). Because the sentiment is small, it doesn’t overpower the rest of the card. All together each element comes together nicely which results in a balanced card. What do you think?
