Creating this Regal Winter Card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop was fun. I had been wanting to break into my pack of the Regal Winter DSP for some time. However, my mind had been focused on Christmas cards and Christmas tags. So, the gorgeous pack of paper had to sit patiently and wait. Thankfully, the time finally arrived to create something with this delightful paper.
This month the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop is a Sketch challenge. I thought that the challenge provided the perfect opportunity to feature the Regal Winter DSP. Below you will find the Sketch Challenge.
Sketch Challenge

For this challenge, I built my card around the colors of the Regal Winter DSP. The base of my card is Pretty Peacock. Throughout the card I used Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Basic White.
I relied on artistic impression for the two square elements. Using a punch and die cuts, I created some flower “sprays” to tuck under the top and bottom corner of the rectangular piece. To make the white flowers stand out more, I added a few embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment.
the inside
On the inside of the card, I incorporated the same border colors as the front of the card. After layering Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Basic White, I added a strip of the gorgeous Regal Winter DSP to tie everything together. And for a splash of whimsy, I even added three of the small white flowers to the inside of the card.

So, what do you think? Do you love this pretty Designer Series Paper as much as I do? Have you used your pack yet? I’m looking forward to using more of the patterns from my pack to create stunning cards. It is hard to go wrong with such pretty paper. You can find more cards featuring Designer Series Paper here.

Very pretty color combo. Thanks for sharing!
Love your interpretation of the sketch Robin, great idea x
I see where the paper pack gets its name Royal Winter. Lovely card design. Your sponging really softens the edges and allows the royal quality of the printed flowers to shine. Excellent use of the provided sketch. Well done. 🦋
It is gorgeous paper!! Thank you for stopping by the Treehouse. Perhaps we can make a card in class using this paper.
I love the way you layered your focal point. Very pretty.
Thank you!
