Textured Card for Sketch Challenge

This month’s Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop was a Sketch challenge. I kept fairly true to the Sketch we were given. Below you will find the Sketch Challenge we were presented with. And if you read along, you will see how I added textures to create my textured card.

Using the Stylish Shapes dies was the first decision on my designing journey. Next, I decided to expound upon the shapes and make my card full of textures. This was easy to accomplish with stamps like Textured Notes, the new Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder, and the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. Below, you will find my textured card.

I chose a neutral pallet: Crumb Cake, Basic White, Pecan Pie, and Mossy Meadow. For additional but subtle texture, I scraped the edges of the Basic White cardstock with my Paper Snips. Some bakers twine and adhesive baked sequins helped put the finishing touches on my card.

the inside

For the inside, I carried over the softly stamped images that were used on the card front. To achieve the softer look, I stamped off for all the images. All three of the images on the inside came from the Texted Notes stamp set. The lined text on the front of the card came from the Elements of Text stamp set. At the very bottom of the blog I will list the products that I used to create my textured card.
