Beautiful Gallery Blooms

The Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper is just that, beautiful. I wanted to use a few of the “B side” papers to make a card. Combining the DSP with the Gallery Blooms stamp set was an easy decision. These are all part of a larger suite called Beautiful Gallery. Both of the bundles are amazing. So, both of the bundles were on my wish list as soon as the catalog came out.

There was one piece of the DSP that I really wanted to use on a card. I decided to pair it with Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. For my YouTube LIVE I let the viewers pick between two different flower colors. Before the LIVE, I colored the flowers from the Beautiful Gallery stamp set with two different color combinations (one in blues and one in corals). Which one would you choose? The viewers chose the coral colors. So, that is what we went with for our beautiful Gallery Blooms card.

Coloring to Compliment

Many of you know that I love to color. If you hand me a few Stampin’ Blends, I can color for hours. For this card I wanted to color the bloom to match the colors in the Designer Series Paper. When I look at the paper I see oranges and pinks. So, I grabbed a handful of the Blends and got to coloring the blossom image. I stamped the image onto Very Vanilla with the Tuxedo Black Momento ink. Just in case you are wondering how I colored the blossom and leaves, I have a video tutorial that shows not only how to assemble the card, but the coloring techniques I used as well. All things considered, I think the coloring really complimented the colors in the DSP. Do you agree? (just click on the “video tutorial” link to watch the short video)
