Floral All Occasion Card

With so many cool new products coming out with the new catalog, it was hard to know where to start. I decided to pick the Phrases and Frames bundle. The sentiments in the bundle have beautiful fonts and lots of great phrases to pick from. Since Mother’s Day was right around the corner, I was looking for a sentiment that would work. The stamp set has a great all occasion sentiment, “have a fabulous day”. That sentiment would be perfect for Mother’s Day, birthday, graduation, and other occasions as well.

To create the card I used a variety of products including retired ones, current ones, and brand new ones. The pretty Designer Series paper called, Lovely Garden, was an Online Exclusive but is now retired. Another Online Exclusive product, the Textured Notes dies, has just recently retired (I will really miss this one!). Here is another card I made that features the Textured Notes dies.

For this all occasion card, I wanted to highlight the flowers in the DSP. The Petals of Beauty bundle was available up until last week. But sadly, it too has been retired. The stamps and the dies from that set worked perfectly with the DSP. You can watch my YouTube tutorial to find out the tricks I used to make the flowers and leaves truly match the paper. Stamping off and adding some marks with markers did the trick.

New featured product

A current product that I’m excited about it the Phrases and Frames bundle. The Garden Green from on the card was cut with one of the dies from the bundle. And as I mentioned before, the sentiment also came from that bundle. The dies in this set are unique in that you can use the new Impressions Plate with them.

• Lovely Garden DSP: 3-15/16 x 5-3/16
• Garden Green: 4-1/16 x 5-5/16 (cut frame from the center and trim the inside piece to 1-13/16 x 3-5/16 to become the mat for the sentiment)
• Bubble Bath (for under the green frame): 2-1/4 x 3-13/16
• Basic White: at least 1-7/8 x 3-3/8 (die cut with the Layered Notes die)
• Basic White scraps for the leaves
• Bubble Bath scraps for the flowers
