I LOVED playing with all the pieces and parts of the new Pansy Bundle! The stamps, the dies and the beautiful DSP open up a wonderful world of possibilities for SO many cards!
This card uses the new In-Color, Pale Papaya and a strip of the Pansy DSP. But the stars of the show are the Pansies themselves. Aren’t they gorgeous? Let me tell you how I achieved this look.
The bottom petals were die cut out of Basic White and the edges were daubered with BlackBerry Bliss for the purple flower and Calypso Coral for the pink/coral flower.
The top petals were cut from colored cardstock: Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia (another fabulous In-Color). The top petals are also daubered as well.
The flower “beards” are cut from Blackberry Bliss and Calypso Coral cardstock. The flower centers can be Daffodil Delight or So Saffron while the leaves are cut from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock. I cut two of the large leaves and one of the small ones.
The card base is Caypso Coral with a piece of Basic White cut 1/8 less (5 3/8 x 4 1/4). The pretty frame is cut with the largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies using Pale Papaya card stock.
The gingham strip is from the Pansy DSP and is cut at 4 3/4 x 1 1/2. The bottom layer of the strip is from Calypso Coral cardstock and cut at 4 3/4 x 1 5/8.
The sentiment comes from the Pansy Patch stamp set and stamped in Soft Succulent. The edges of the Basic White card stock are gently tapped on each side onto the Soft Succulent ink pad.
I think that covers everything. Hope you like this project and we’ll give it a try. We will be making this card and 3 others in our Pansy Product Class this month.
